The tragic death of Rev Mathew Thomas has left a deep void in many lives especially mine as he was not only my parish head but was the driving force behind my marriage which was held on October 22.

I still remember his last words of wishing me all the best as I and Ruchira met him on Friday, October 23 to thank him for all he has done for us.

I and Ruchira remember him as a very soft-spoken Achen who was eagerly looking forward to the cultural programme which was slated to be held today.

Achen and Kochamma were one of the kindest couples that one could meet. They would make us feel as part of their own house.

I pray that God help Kochamma to make through this tragic time. May his soul rest in peace.

  Dance of Democracy!
Thanks for giving us the privilege to read that article by Mr M. Thomas Mathew. So many of us do not get to read writers who choose to write in regional languages. The article is a cri de coeur. Perhaps one can translate the entire book and do a series for the HOI. We need to read and be inspired by such writers.

A prophetic role in the world can be played only by prophets. May the living Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit of God, bless you with the power and wisdom to fulfill this 'Yuga Dharma'. I will keep you in my prayers.

True apology by Jacob Varghese was one of the best devotionals The Herald of India has carried so far, though it appeared under the headline Thought for the Day. Any way, it was thought-provoking too!

I have been reading with great interest your newspaper. It is one of the best secular news portals in the country. I congratulate you for choosing talented writers who make the website intellectually stimulating. Keep it up,
