Apropos the 'Devotional' piece by Aniecia John, I congratulate you for reproducing the entire sermon of the author. I was also present on the occasion. The sermon was really thought-provoking and penetrating. Your attempt has definitely added more value to it and it will benefit your readers too. Wish The Herald of India all the best.

Making comparisons, they say, are always invidious. In an otherwise well-argued article, "Death for Kasab: Why this celebration?", perhaps, the comparison between Dara Singh and Kasab could have been avoided.
For, the laity has always been like that. Remember the scene where Brutus, (Shakespeare's Julius Caesar), justified the killing of Caesar by arguing that Caesar was intending to become the King.
Paradoxically enough, while cheering Brutus, one of the persons in the crowd remarked; "make Brutus the King" for his this good deed of killing Caesar!
That was long ago. However, it surely pains when people behave in that ancient manner even in the so-called advanced 21st century!
I very much agree with the suggestion that instead of providing an underserved martyr's status to Kasab he should be put in a solitary confinement till his natural death.
Besides, it is high time that we stopped looking at terrorists as Muslim or Hindu fanatics. Treat them as crooked criminals and punish them in such a way that it should be a deterrent for others and does not allow them to acquire any hallowed rank.

"Pak Taliban behind Times Square plot: U.S": a news report.
It is high time we revamped and integrated our own intelligence agencies rather than depending upon that of the US, (no better than our present one!)

'No sex please, we are Asian', made an interesting read.
Michael Kelly would probably find it interesting to note that we sex-shy Indians, at least in our Punjabi region, call the BREAST part of a dressed chicken as CHEST!
